S1GP Fast Race

Thomas Chareyre (Honda) was impeccable at the start of the Fast Race and took the lead already in the first corner, chased by Julen Avila Cortes (KTM Mtr Racing). Thrilling performance for Marc Reiner Schimdt (L30 Racing), who pushed away at the start and moved to third place, leaving behind Elia Sammartin (Gazza Racing) and Ferran Cardus (Honda).



Chareyre’s race pace was exceptional and allowed him to open a gap over his chasers. In the second lap Schmidt overtook Avila Cortes and chased the standings leader. Cardus prevailed over Elia Sammartin, and it seemed like the latter struggled to keep the pace of the Spanish rider. Thomas Chareyre’s race pace was as good as the one set in the qualifying and left no way out to his rivals, in fact he won the race with a solid margin. Second place went to Marc Reiner Schmidt and third one to Rookie Julen Avila Cortes, who took the second victory in the standings, reserved to riders enrolled in the World Championship for the first time.

S1GP SuperFinal

The grid of the SuperFinal is drawn up according to the order of arrival of the fast race and Thomas Chareyre was joined by Marc Reiner Schmidt. Expectations were high to see a duel at the last braking point. Chareyre made no mistake at the start and took the lead, while Schmidt could not find the right release of the clutch and was tricked in the first corners by Julen Avila Cortes who reached the second spot. The German rider had to work hard to move back to second place, while Chareyre had already gone far, and had to feel happy with the second place overall. Avila Cortes finished third. Behind the top three, Ferran Cardus (Honda) and Elia Sammartin (Gazza Racing) battled it out for the fourth spot which went to Sammartin thanks to an excellent strategy and a very fast manoeuvre in the Joker Lane. Elia was also fourth overall at the end of the day.


In the Rookie class the victory went to Julen Avila Cortes (Ktm MTR Racing), who starred in all the three races, followed by second qualified Tom Bessieres (Honda) and Tim Slazai (Team11).
